Cigarette, alcohol, and lottery sales will be halted. Casinos cannot offer gaming, After roughly 2 weeks, state primary schools will stop getting public funds, after 3 state colleges loose funding. Half of the state's 12 bridges will shut down. State parks, campgrounds and Mackinak Island will close. Road maintenance will stop. State run mental hospitals, the Highway Patrol, DNR and state police will be operating on reduced staffs. Most other state offices, including DMV, treasury and secretary of state offices, will shut down.
On a positive note, the states tax collection and military training facilities will remains open.
Could there be a better example of why government should not be in charge of all of the above mentioned industries and services?
