As a web professional, our education can never be complete, we are always working on improving our skills. Because of this, I tend to buy many books, mostly because I am not important enough for publishers to give them to me!
Here is a list of books I have purchased over the years that have become an integral part of my growth.
- HTML Utopia: Designing Without Tables Using CSS by Dan Shafer
- Sams Teach Yourself JavaScript in 24 Hours by Michael Moncur
- Beginning PHP5, Apache, and MySQL Web Development by Elizabeth Naramore, Jason Gerner, Yann Le Scouarnec, Jeremy Stolz and Michael K. Glass
- Pro Drupal Development by John K. VanDyk and Matt Westgate
- Learning jQuery: Better Interaction Design and Web Development with Simple JavaScript Techniques by Karl Swedberg and Jonathan Chaffer
- PHP 5 Objects, Patterns, and Practice by Matt Zandstra
Finally, one last book I would recommend to anyone, especially someone who wants to understand economics better is 'Economics in One Lesson: The Shortest and Surest Way to Understand Basic Economics' by Henry Hazlitt.
Nice list
I have only the Utopia & the PHP book of those on my bookshelf. Not too bad I guess. :) I'll consider buying the others.
The advice on the economics book is, really refreshing. Thanks.
